Pinnacle Peak is one of Scottsdale’s most historic and storied areas. Development pioneers Jerry and Florence Nelson, who envisioned a planned community in harmony with the desert, first settled at Rancho Vista Bonita at the southwest corner of Pima and Pinnacle Peak roads in the late 1960’s. Pinnacle Peak Village/Country Club was the first of their successful communities in the 1970’s, followed by Troon Village and Troon North. The Nelsons literally wrote the book on environmentally sensitive land use, natural open space and limited use of turf. Today some of the priciest homes in the Valley are located in Pinnacle Peak. Area amenities include retail, restaurants, resort, shopping, Pinnacle Peak Park and world-class golf. There are an abundance of exclusive non-golf neighborhoods like Prada, Los Gatos, Happy Valley Ranch, Pinnacle Peak Estates, Pinnacle Peak Vistas, Pinnacle Peak Heights and La Strada to name a few.
